UT Dallas Degree: PhD – Public Policy and Political Economy, 2007
Profession: Associate Professor, Department of Public Administration, Kyonggi University
The two most important obligations in my position are teaching and research. Additionally, I’ve been playing various roles at governmental committee and non-governmental organizations in order to contribute to the growth of my community and country.
In 2014, I received the research fellowship provided by SBS (Seoul Broadcasting Systems) Foundation. I was also selected as a recipient for The International Exchange Program for University Researchers provided by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
My doctoral degree has allowed me to become a professor, furthering my profession and presenting new great opportunities in the academic field.
Luckily I was able to meet such wonderful facilitators and colleagues in EPPS. Without their help, I would never have been able to complete my academic study successfully. That is why I deeply appreciate all the help and support given by the EPPS Department.
For current EPPS students, I would tell them to never give up. Real effort never lets you down. So, please do your best all the time while you are studying at UT Dallas. Furthermore, EPPS is constantly making efforts to better the environment for students, so I hope you can use all the benefits and services EPPS provides.
