IUPUI Director of Muslim Philanthropy Initiative Visits PNM

The Public and Nonprofit Management program (PNM)  recently hosted Dr. Shariq Siddiqui, a nonprofit veteran with 20 years experience, at the UT Dallas campus.

Dr. Siddiqui is the immediate past executive director of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA). He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Philanthropic Studies and the Director of Muslim Philanthropy Initiative at the Lilly School of Philanthropy, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).

Dr. Shariq shared his experience with PNM doctoral students and talked about how they can develop their “scholarly identity” in the early stage of their doctoral studies.

Dr. Shariq also had previously invited PNM doctoral student, Holly Hull Miori to present at his Managing Capital Campaigns Workshop at IUPUI. Holly discussed her Certified Fund Raising Executive certification and her research on faith-based giving.
