Major: B.S. in Economics
Expected Graduation Date: May 2024
I was interested in eventually working in policy, and economics seemed to me to be the foundation from which all effective policy was based. I felt that having a strong understanding of economics as well as the way economic policy could affect individuals would be invaluable in any policy area I would want to eventually work in.
The pre-law team at UTD (shout out Dr. Kirby, Coach Seagroves, and Dominique)! They’ve all helped me tremendously throughout my journey to law school and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
I’m currently a junior at UTD but I hope to intern in Washington D.C. next year as part of the Archer Fellowship program. I also want to eventually attend law school and work in the private sector for a few years to learn as much as I can before going into policy.
Reach out to your academic advisors, your professors, your TAs, your classmates, and anyone else you can think of! Connections can be hugely helpful and a large part of my success is directly attributable to people I reached out to with available opportunities.
