Research and teaching in GIS and Remote Sensing
My degree from UTD provided me with solid research and teaching experience in my field and helped me secure my subsequent positions in academia.
I received great training in both teaching and research in GIS by working as a teaching and research assistant in EPPS. I had the chance involving several research projects at UTD in LiDAR and hyperspectral remote sensing and mastered the state-of-the-art techniques in these fields. My expertise in LiDAR and hyperspectral remote sensing is exactly what my current position required.
Learning in class is not adequate for your research. To work well in academia, training in reading, writing, and critical thinking is necessary.
