Taylor is a Eugene McDermott Scholar, undergraduate researcher, and active campus leader. His achievements include presenting at WPSA and SPSA conferences, receiving the National Model UN Outstanding Delegate award in New York, and contributing to the community as music director of Dallas Musical Outreach and a volunteer teacher at the Richardson Adult Literacy Center. Drawn to questions of political economy and policy, he is interested in using advanced data methods to bridge qualitative and quantitative research. His future goals center on developing innovative tools to strengthen urban planning and public policy, empowering underrepresented communities with actionable insights.

Tzu-Yuan Chen spent his first year of graduate studies at the Institute of Data Science & Information Computing at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, where he focused on quantum computing, machine learning, and data analytics. He is now joining the Dual Degree Program in Social Data Analytics and Research / Data Science to pursue a second Master of Science in Social Data Analytics and Research at The University of Texas at Dallas. At UTD, Tzu-Yuan looks forward to exploring new research opportunities and collaborating on innovative projects that address complex, data-driven challenges.
