EPPS Dean to Moderate National Panel on Sustainability in Higher Ed

Dr. Jennifer Holmes, Dean of the School of EPPS, will be serving as a moderator for a national panel on Sustainability in Higher Education. The event is scheduled for Monday, April 24 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Blackstone Launchpad on the UT Dallas campus. Click here to register.

The panel session, organized by the Office of Sustainability and the Office of Research and Innovation, will bring together sustainability directors from top-ranked universities to discuss how sustainability can contribute to a university’s broader mission. 

Joining Dr. Holmes on the panel are sustainability directors from several prominent universities, including Aurora Winslade from Stanford, Ryan McPherson from the University at Buffalo, Jennifer Andrews from the University of New Hampshire, and Gary Cocke from UT Dallas. 

During the panel session, the directors will share insights and best practices on how universities can integrate sustainability into curriculum development, research, operations, planning, and engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best sustainability programs in the country and explore ways to promote sustainable practices within their own institutions. 

By bringing together sustainability directors from different universities, the organizers hope to foster collaboration and promote sustainability initiatives across higher education. .
