Jennifer S. Holmes, dean of the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences, and EPPS Assistant Dean Carol Cirulli Lanham recently traveled to Paraguay and Argentina where they met with university officials interested in formalizing agreements to exchange faculty and students and serve as hosts for study abroad programs. In Paraguay, where they were hosted by EPPS Advisory Board Member Gloria Snead and her husband Juan Ernesto Snead, they met with officials at the Universidad Nacional de Asunción, the country’s largest public university, and Universidad San Carlos, a private university also located in the capital city.

They later met with Taiwan’s Ambassador to Paraguay José Han, who is working on a number of new educational initiatives.  In Argentina, Dr. Lanham hosted a workshop on Collaborative Online International Learning for faculty at the Universidad del Salvador (USAL), a private university located in downtown Buenos Aires. Dr. Holmes also met with USAL’s top administrators to discuss exchange initiatives
