PNP Elects Dr. Elizabeth Searing as Division Program Chair

The Public and Nonprofit Management Division of the Academy of Management has announced the election results and 2022-2023 Executive Committee members.

The Public and Nonprofit Division of the Academy of Management brings together scholars, managers, and students who continue this tradition by studying the public and nonprofit sectors, and the relationships among public, nonprofit, and private sector organizations.

The Division’s members study decision-making, strategy, organizational behavior and human resource management, and political behavior; collaborations among public, nonprofit, and private organizations; organizational networks involving public and nonprofit organizations; public policy; and the social and ethical dimensions of public and nonprofit activity. 

Dr. Elizabeth Searing is an Assistant Professor of Public and Nonprofit Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Searing’s primary research focus is the financial management of nonprofit and social enterprise organizations, but she also conducts work on comparative social economy, the role of social and psychological factors in economic development and policy effectiveness, and applied ethics for the social sciences.

Dr. Searing is also an editorial board member of Nonprofit Management & Leadership, and her articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Nonprofit Management & Leadership, and Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly.
