In a time when conversations on current affairs may seem polarizing, confusing or even corrupt, understanding policy, economics, politics, and their related issues is more important than ever. The School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences (EPPS) at UT Dallas is introducing a student-run podcast called PEP Talk, which stands for policy, economics, and politics. The podcast features interviews with experts on topics ranging from politics and policy to criminology and trade.
EPPS is a national leader in research that addresses critical social, political and economic issues. This podcast is an opportunity for listeners to learn about relevant topics, firsthand, as they are being researched and implemented.
For example, one podcast features Collin County Homeless Coalition to analyze the real causes behind the homelessness. The students behind this podcast and movement are actively pursuing leadership roles in advancing positive change on the local, national and global level.
