How has being part of EPPS helped you?

I loved participating in the Connect@UTD fellowship through EPPS. I got to work with a local nonprofit and get real-world experience in my field. The Connect team does a great job matching students with employers based on availability, number of hours available to work, and areas of interest and  the faculty in EPPS also helped support us in how to structure the program in a mutually benifitial way for both the students and organizations.

Plans for the Future

I plan to stay in academia to continue researching and teaching students.

Advice to Prospective EPPS Students

Get in contact with the program you are interested in to learn about the courses offered, research and professional development opportunities, and other students in your program. The best way to know if EPPS will be a good fit for you is to talk with faculty and current students in your field of study.
