Two professors from the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences have completed the ACUE Certificate in Effective Instruction through the UT Dallas Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) this academic year.
Vic Valcarcel, Associate Professor of Economics, and William Grover, Associate Professor of Instruction in Economics, have completed the program offered by the Association of College and University Educators, which is designed to enhance teaching effectiveness and increase student success.

The program consists of 25 modules that cover various teaching practices, including designing effective courses, promoting active learning, fostering a positive learning environment, and providing effective feedback.
Participants engage in interactive, online learning activities and apply the concepts and strategies learned in their classrooms. The successful completion of the program earns participants a nationally recognized credential that demonstrates their commitment to effective teaching.
