EPPS Entrepreneurs Series

Where do our graduates go after earning a degree from the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences? Check out the Pathways to Employment series on our YouTube Channel to learn more about EPPS Entrepreneurs.

Dan Healy, who received his BA in Government and Politics in 2000, kicked off the series hosted by Dean Jennifer S. Holmes. Healy is now CEO of Civitas Capital Group, a Dallas-based investment management firm with assets under management of over $1.7 billion, invested primarily in real estate, lodging and related asset classes.

Dean Holmes also recently interviewed Michelle Coyle, a 2003 political science graduate who is now CEO of BGSD Strategies, a management consulting firm that specializes in rapidly scaling small businesses and advocacy organizations.

The next episode in the series features Brandon Friedman, MPA and CEO of Rakkasan Tea Company. Friedman, an Army veteran, launched Rakkasan Tea Company in 2017 after more than a decade in PR, politics and public service. His memoir, The War I Always Wanted, was recognized in 2010 by The Military Times as one of “The Best Military Books of the Decade.”
