CONNECT @ UTD

Connecting for Social Impact

Community organizations work hard to tackle big social challenges. Graduate students at UT Dallas are among the people in our communities who can offer the skills that organizations need to solve these problems. CONNECT at UT Dallas is a way to bring these groups together.

The CONNECT program seeks to activate learning from data and build both capacity and interest in the use of data, measurement, and evaluation capacity within community organizations. The program achieves this through personalized, high-touch intake with nonprofit organizations that have data-related or evaluation needs and recruitment of skilled graduate students (masters and doctoral) at The University of Texas at Dallas. Student fellowships recognize program participation, and an online platform and matching  are used to ensure a good fit between organization and student. Customized project support leads to high-quality and actionable deliverables.

The Program in Public and Nonprofit Management at the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences at UT Dallas is collaborating with The University of Texas at Austin's RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service to launch a pilot of the RGK Center's CONNECT program at UT Dallas. Our hope is that the CONNECT program will contribute to solving complex community challenges and reinforce the role of UT Dallas as a hub for community solutions.
