Profession: Program Manager, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)
As a program manager at AIAA, I serve as the liaison to the Young Professional Committee and the Career & Workforce Development Committee. My role is to manage the institute’s young professional programs and career services programs, as well as manage various other member service program.
My degree from UTD helped me get my first job and provided me opportunities throughout my career that I would not have had if I did not have a degree.
The school of EPPS offered me quality professors and a great education. It also offered me the opportunity to work full time while attending school, since I was returning to school to complete my degree after several years away from studies.
My advice to any student is to network, network, network — I know many people who got their first job from networking and talking to someone they met at an activity, or a meeting, or an event.
