Dr. Brian Berry Selected for 2021 UCGIS Research Award

EPPS Regental Professor Dr. Brian Berry is selected to receive the 2021 University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS) Research Award. This award recognizes Dr. Berry’s groundbreaking research with geographic matrix, which aids the evolution of GIScience by advancing technical topics and issues and promoting an appreciation of the conceptual and functional linkages between GIS and GIScience’s emerging intellectual core.  

A committee consisting of Geoscientists from UCGIS member institutions reviewed all the nominations and selected Dr. Berry for his worthy accomplishments in this area. The award presentation is scheduled to take place on Monday June 7th, during the UCGIS 2021 Symposium (which spans from Monday June 7 through Wednesday June 9, 2021).
