UT Dallas Achievements & Activities

I’m a first year PhD student and teaching assistant.

How did you decide on your major?

In my undergraduate studies, I majored in Physics, which was largely due to my being brought up among a community of physicists. With a minor in political science (which included a semester of independent study in criminology under my humanities and social sciences professor) in my undergraduate studies, I decided to pursue a PhD in Criminology by virtue of my piqued interest in the subject.

My EPPS Success

My ability to understand and produce works that are methodologically robust and yet contain an element of subjectivity.

Plans for the Future

After the successful completion of my current degree, I intend to apply for a criminology faculty (tenure-track) position.

Advice to Prospective EPPS Students

Be passionate about who you want to help. The rest will fall into place.
