How has being part of EPPS helped you?

Being a part of EPPS has awarded me with more opportunities than I would have ever imagined. The most impactful being the friends and colleagues I have made, as well as the wonderful faculty that has helped guide me towards my academic goals and endeavors. The EPPS faculty could be considered a small group, but it’s charming and inviting. I can proudly say that I have been able to connect with each of my professors and have received mentorship from them. Dr. Skaggs has given me more opportunities than I can count and guided me throughout my thesis research. Without these people, I would not have made the most of my undergraduate career or continue to through my graduate program.

Plans for the Future

Complete my MS in Applied Sociology at UTD and pursue my PhD in Sociology.
