Morgan County’s Wellington Park will soon be renamed in honor of the late Dr. Rodney Andrews, a highly respected UT Dallas professor and scholar. Dr. Andrews, who served as an Associate Professor of Economics and the Endowed Fellow, Vibhooti Shukla Professor of Economics and Political Economy, had a deep connection to the park, which was a cherished space during his childhood in Madison. More than 500 supporters signed a petition, and the Madison City Council unanimously approved the renaming, overcoming a policy technicality.
