Major: B.S. in Economics, Minor in Political Science
I attended a STEM-focused high school but soon realized that I didn’t want to pursue STEM as a career. I had taken both macro and microeconomics as electives and enjoyed learning about the logic behind and efficiency of human and business decisions, so I decided to apply to college as an economics major.
Definitely reaching out to EPPS Advising and UTD Pre-Law Advising. I also learned to not be afraid to reach out to professors and classmates.
After graduation, I plan on attending law school and go into immigration or corporate law. I also greatly enjoyed my time interning in Washington D.C. and am considering a career in public service on Capitol Hill for several years.
Don’t be afraid to get to know your professors and classmates. Also, don’t feel like you need to come to UTD knowing exactly what you want to do in the future. Use your time at UTD to experience as many different things as you can. EPPS degrees are also very flexible, so don’t feel limited in your career choices.
